Seven candidates filed for three open seats in Providence, thus initiating a primary election. Kirk Allen, Michael Harbin, Roy Sneddon, Sandra Checketts, Rowan Cecil, Jeffrey Turley, and Dennis Giles all filed to fill the open seats in Providence.
Providence City officials tallied the mail-in ballots Tuesday and announced that of the seven candidates, six would be advancing. This means only Michael Harbin would not be advancing to the general election in November.
The unofficial vote tallies are as follows:
