NORTH LOGAN — Billed as Cache Valley’s 1st ever Live pro-wrestling event, the Cache Valley Throwdown will entertain local folks this Saturday night at the Hansen Family Sports Complex in North Logan.
On KVNU’s For the People program on Thursday, Manny Smith, who is an independent wrestler in Utah invites residents to attend.
“My wrestling name is Manny Lemons, it’s your boy, the man, the brand, the king of the lemonade stand. The best of the best and you know the rest, and we are here to talk about the rest. I’m the owner of Devotion Championship Wrestling, we have an event going down this Saturday out of Cache County called the Cache Valley Throwdown. Our friends at Mountain Force Entertainment are bringing this in as a sponsored show, so it’s going to be something fun and entertaining,” explained Smith.
He said they are hoping to make this a regular thing.
“There’s a lot that goes into making it a legit and unique product, I mean one of the biggest things about the industry that I’m in as professional wrestling, is a lot of people think that…they contradict it to being a fake fight. We’re already battling that audience to…we’re a entertainment industry, we’re here to present a product and present a story and to go out there and to do that, it takes a lot of skill and it takes a lot of performance.”
