LOGAN – Isaac Johnson, 7’0″, 220 lbs. transfer from the University of Oregon has announced he will be headed to Cache Valley and play for Utah State under the direction of Ryan Odom. Johnson made the announcement on his Instagram.
Johnson has seen the Aggies very recently when his Oregon Ducks made the trek to The Spectrum in the opening round of the National Invitational Tournament and beat Utah State on March 15, 2022. Johnson played four minutes in the game, scoring a bucket, pulled down an offensive rebound and was also assessed a technical foul for shoving Aggie guard Max Shulga running down the court late in the 1st half.

During the 2021-22 season, Johnson played in 13 games, four conference games for the Ducks. Johnson played a season-high 12 minutes vs. Montana, notching six points and two rebounds. His season-high eight points came against Chaminade in the Maui Invitational. He also scored 7 points and grabbed two rebounds against Houston and scored six points vs. Portland.
Johnson was born in Nyssa, Ore. and attended high school in American Fork, Utah. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ for Latter-day Saints in Ohio.
Johnson will have three years of eligibility with the Aggies.
