LOGAN — A 57-year-old North Logan man has been arrested and charged with allegedly molesting two neighbor girls. Glen Richard Walker was booked Thursday into the Cache County Jail.

According to an arrest affidavit, North Park Police officers report the two alleged victims, aged 5 and 7-years-old, claimed their neighbor had touched them inappropriately. The older girl also told investigators that Walker had attempted to rape her.

The girls were interviewed by officials at the Children’s Justice Center as part of the investigation. They provided additional details about the incidents.

Police also report that Walker admitted to touching the older girl, when confronted by the alleged victim’s father.

Walker was arraigned during a virtual hearing in 1st District Court, appearing by web conference from jail Monday afternoon. He was charged with one count of sodomy on a child, a first-degree felony; and four counts of sexual abuse of a child, a second-degree felony.

Judge Angela Fonnesbeck ordered Walker to remain temporarily in jail and appear for a preliminary and bail hearing June 13.

Walker didn’t speak during the brief arraignment. He could face up to life in prison, if convicted.

Individuals arrested and charged in complaints are presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in court.
