In Soda Springs, ID Nan worked for Beker Industries and then moved to the US Forest Service in January 1982, retiring in January 1999 after 16 years of service.

Nan was an avid reader and loved crocheting. Every family member is the proud owner of at least one of her beautiful afghan’s. She loved aerobics especially water aerobics and loved being outside. We certainly can’t forget her love of watching football. Nan loved her family deeply. She was always quick to smile, huge on hugs, and you always knew where she stood on things. She always had her camera out, much to the chagrin of many so that she could document all of the special times.

She is survived by her loving husband Lyle Lamont Hess of Soda Springs ID. Her two sons, Dan Wilbur, and Bill (Cheryl) Wilbur of Las Vegas NV, Jeannette (Warren) Westbrook of Soda Springs ID, Lamont (Bradie) Hess of Afton WY and her brother Richard Miner of Texas and Grandchildren: Ryan (Amber) Wilbur, Jennifer (Jerry) Lura, Coby Wilbur, Cole (Karli) Wilbur; Special Grandchildren: Tara Passey, Sara Potter, Kassie Hess, Jessie Hess, Sami Hess, Hazen Hess, Jim and Ryan Jaseckas, and 16 Great Grandchildren.
