LOGAN – Due to popular demand, city officials at Logan Parks and Recreation have announced that they will offer two 90-minutes ice skating sessions at the Carol and Jim Laub Plaza in downtown Logan on Sundays.

Weather permitting, the plaza ice rink will be open to the public on Sunday for sessions from noon to 1:30 p.m. and from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

Those Sunday ice skating sessions will be offered in addition to the previously announced 90-minute skating sessions on Monday through Friday evenings and all day on Saturdays.

On weekday evenings, the plaza ice rink will offer skating sessions from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and from 8 to 9:30 p.m.

On Saturdays, the plaza ice rink will offer skating sessions starting at 12 to 1:30 p.m.; 2 to 3:30 p.m.; 4 to 5:30 p.m.; 6 to 7:30 p.m.; and 8 to 9:30 p.m.

City officials say that ice skating sessions can be reserved and paid for in advance by going online to https://loganutah.activityreg.com/ and following the prompts for “Register” and “Programs/Activities.”

The plaza ice rink’s capacity is 90 skaters per session. Sixty of those spots will allocated for reservations while the reminding 30 will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Skating session will be $5 per person for adults with discounted $3 tickets for senior citizens, military personnel, students and youngsters three and under.

Ice skates can be rented for $3 per person, with identification required.

Monday evenings will be Family Nights at the plaza ice rink, with free skate rentals.
