LOGAN – Officials here in Logan have announced modified schedules for Logan City services and facilities during the Independence Day holiday.

“Residential garbage, recycling and green waste will not be collected as usual on Thursday, July 4,” according to statement issued by the Logan Public Works Department. “The city landfill will also closed to the public on that day.”

“The majority of Thursday garbage routes will be collected on Friday, July 5,” the statement explains. “However, limited areas with regular collection on Thursday or Friday may experience a service delay of up to one day, extending into Saturday morning on July 6.

“Residents are asked to please leave their containers out at the curb until they are collected,” it adds.

The statement emphasized, however, that the Logan River Golf Course will be open during regular operating hours on Thursday, July 4.

The Logan Aquatic Center will also be open for regular hours on Independence Day.

The Logan Library, all City Offices, the Logan Community Recreation Center and the City Cemetery will be closed on Thursday, July 4.

For general information about holiday closures, residents can call 435-716-9000.
