LOGAN – The staff of the Logan Library is inviting community members to join them in celebrating local literature and its authors on Saturday, April 11.
The “Local Authors in Bloom” event will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Community Room B of the library, featuring writers V.S. Lawrence, Lorin Grace, M.J. Emerson, Melissa Lark and Catherine V. Wolf.
“The ‘Local Authors in Bloom’ event will offer readers a unique opportunity to connect with writers in their community, discover new books and support local talent,” according to Hollie Dabb, the adult fiction librarian at the Logan Library.
Dabb adds that each author will read selections from their work and participate in question and answer sessions to follow. The writers will also be available for book signings and have copies of their works for sale.
Lawrence is the author of youth-oriented horror fiction, including 80s Ghosts, Chupacabra Y2K, With Friends Like These and the forthcoming Just Us Here.
Melissa Lark writes semi-funny, romantic fiction with a touch of mystery. Her novels include Fresh Canvas, Fresh Slate and a forthcoming addition to the same series.
Lorin Grace is the author of Love in the Valley, a novella set in Cache Valley’s early history; Emerson penned the romance Shattered Reflections; and Wolf wrote the eco-fantasy The Drum Tree.
The “Local Authors in Bloom” event is free to the public.
