LOGAN — A 35-year-old hotel supervisor made an initial appearance before a judge after being arrested for allegedly fondling an employee while they were cleaning a room late last year.
Norma Cardona was booked into the Cache County Jail on Dec. 9, 2025, on a suspected second-degree felony charge of forcible sexual abuse. The arrest stems from an incident reported on Oct. 31, 2025, at a La Quinta Inn in Logan.
According to a probable cause affidavit filed by the Logan City Police Department, the victim was cleaning a room when Cardona, her supervisor, instructed her to go to a separate room once she finished. When the victim arrived, Cardona was sitting in the room and directed her to clean a specific area. As the victim cleaned, Cardona allegedly approached her and fondled her genitals over her clothing, causing the victim emotional distress and discomfort.
The victim reported the encounter to hotel management. Managers told police they conducted an internal review during which Cardona admitted to touching the victim’s private area. Cardona reportedly claimed the incident was a “game” and stated she did not know the victim would be offended.
The affidavit stated the victim provided police with video and audio recordings of her confronting Cardona. In the recordings and subsequent text messages, Cardona allegedly acknowledged what happened, apologized, and asked the victim not to tell anyone at work.
Cardona requested an attorney before officers could interview her.
According to court records, Cardona appeared Wednesday in Logan’s 1st District Court. She up to 15 years in prison, if convicted.
Individuals arrested and charged in complaints are presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in court.
