LOGAN — Local firefighters and emergency responders will be holding the 9/11 Stair Climb again this year at USU. The memorial begins at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Aggies’ football stadium.
Logan City Fire Marshal Craig Humphreys said there will be pipes and drums, a 9/11 video made by a student and treats. Parking at the stadium is free and no pass is needed this year.
All firefighters, police officers, dispatchers, families, friends, the public and USU students are invited to participate or watch. This year the fire department teamed up with the USU Hurd to organize the event.
Humphreys said this will be an amazing experience. Participants can run as many stairs they would like.
Gates to the stadium will open at 7:30 p.m. Those wishing to participate are encouraged to gather on the south concourse to begin.
Admission is free.
