LOGAN – The Rocky Mountain Power Foundation is investing in local arts, history, and cultural programs through a new round of grants totaling $276,450. The funding will support community organizations in Utah, Wyoming, and Idaho, helping to preserve heritage, enhance arts education, and foster cultural engagement.
“Local programs like these play a crucial role in nurturing and uplifting community organizations who not only provide essential support to their neighbors, but also inspire and connect us all, reminding us of the strength we share together,” said Dick Garlish, director of the Rocky Mountain Power Foundation and president of Rocky Mountain Power.
A total of 66 grants were awarded, with several benefiting organizations in Cache County and surrounding areas. These include:
- American West Heritage Foundation – Support for 2025 educational programming.
- Heritage Elementary – Funding for a music program serving 728 students in kindergarten through sixth grade.
- Nibley Children’s Theatre – Support for the production of The Pharaoh’s Quest.
- Richmond City – Assistance with repairs to two museums, the Relic Hall and the Relief Society Building.
- Smithfield Historical Society – Funds for museum renovation work.
In Box Elder County, recipients include:
- Heritage Community Theatre – Support for the 2025 Annual Children’s Production.
- Northern Utah Youth Symphony – Funding for concert venue rentals and music library storage.
Additionally, the Oxford Peak Arts Council in Oneida County, Idaho, received a grant to support a middle school drama production.
This round of grants, focused on arts and culture, is part of the foundation’s broader philanthropic efforts, which distribute funds across four annual cycles. The funding will help ensure the continuation of free arts events, cultural celebrations, and youth education programs, enriching communities throughout the Rocky Mountain region.
