LOGAN – LionHeart Hall has begun its search for performers and production staff for its Curtains & Cuisine Dinner Theatre season beginning in 2026.
“We’re looking for artists who are bold, collaborative and ready to create unforgettable theatre,” according to Ryan Leonhardt, the co-owner of LionHeart Hall.
“Spots are open,” he adds. “But they are limited for each show, so apply now.”
Leonhardt and director Chris Metz are offering to pay actors and production techs who will bring to life to the Curtains & Cuisine performance and dining experience.
Metz and Leonhardt announced their 2026 line-up of Curtains & Cuisine shows in a Facebook post on Nov. 22 and followed up with a casting call post on Nov. 24.
In February, the dinner theatre will present First Date, a musical by the production team of Austin Winsberg, Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner. Based on the foibles of blind dates, the musical debuted in 2012 at Seattle’s ACT Theatre and moved to Broadway in 2013.
A community showcase will follow at LionHeart Hall in June.
In July, Curtains & Cuisine will stage the unforgettable Brian Yorkey and Tom Kitt musical Next to Normal. The drama focuses on a mother who struggles with bipolar disorder, addressing grief, depression, suicide, drug abuse, modern psychiatry and suburban life in general.
Closing out its 2026 season, the dinner theatre will present Young Frankenstein in October. Based on the 1974 film of the same name, the musical comedy by Mel Brooks is a parody of horror films from the 1930s.
Actors are being encouraged to submit video audition clips until Friday, Dec. 5. Leonhardt says that rehearsals will begin on Monday, Dec. 8 and will be held on weekday evenings after 6 p.m. and occasional Saturdays.
“We’re seeking actors who can portray vulnerability, versatility, professionalism and strong collaborative energy,” he explains. “We expect a focused, efficient rehearsal process from performers who arrive prepared and work off-book early.”
In terms of production staff, LionHeart Hall is looking for backstage crew, stage management, lights/sound operators, costumes, props and other technicians.
Leonhardt says that there will also be opportunities for directors, assistant directors and mentorships, with some roles including pay and/or stipends based on experience.
The venue owner promises to provide high quality entertainment at affordable prices.
