Former FBI agent Pete Strzok has reached a settlement with the Justice Department over his claims that his privacy rights were violated, according to his lawyers.

According to Strzok’s lawyers, the U.S. government has agreed to pay Strzok $1.2 million.

Strzok and his lawyers argued the DOJ violated his protected free speech by releasing text messages he exchanged with then-FBI lawyer Lisa Page that contained his political opinions about former President Donald Trump.

This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
