LOGAN — Emergency crews were called to fire that produced massive smoke and flames at a pallet manufacturing plant Sunday afternoon. The blaze was reported at the Pallets of Utah plant near 400 West and 1700 South on the south side of Logan.

Firefighters arrived to find flames dozens of feet in the air as they burned through stacks of wooden of pallets.

Officials said the fire was contained to the exterior of the building, but caused heavy damage to two semi-trucks and trailers and the outside of the structure.

No one was at the facility when the fire started.

Details about the exact cause of the fire and an estimate of damages are still being determined. The number of pallets damaged was not released.

There were no injuries.

Several fire departments were called in to assist.

It was a busy day for county fire departments.  First, a fire occurred in a hay barn north of Smithfield. Then a house fire sparked in Nibley.
