LOGAN — Fire fighters were called to a house fire Sunday in southwest Logan. The blaze was reported near 2126 South Creekside Drive around 11:51 a.m.

According to emergency radio traffic, one of the occupants of the home called 911. They said the fire started from a barbecue grill that was being used on the outside of the residence.

The first crew to arrive on the scene reported flames moving up the outside wall of the home. It was also moving into the roof and attic.
The two occupants were able to safely evacuate the home. No injuries were reported.

Fire fighters arrived on the scene and spayed water on the flames, using a fire hydrant that was in front of the residence. They were able to quickly extinguish the fire.

No other homes were damaged in the fire.

Fire investigators were called to the home to determine the exact cause of the fire and extent of the damage.
