LOGAN — Ellis Elementary will be hosting an Open House for all community members, alumni, families and friends to see the new building on Tuesday, June 7 from 6 to 7 p.m.
Logan City School District opted to rebuild Ellis in 2019 due to some structural issues which included electrical, heating, air conditioning and plumbing issues as well as earthquake safety concerns.
According to LCSD Business Administrator Jeff Barden, the new building has design features to try to match the historical features of the previous building.
“History and building advancements have come together in the form of a beautiful school,” LCSD District Communications Specialist Shana Longhurst said.
The Ellis Elementary School construction project is the last of three construction projects the district bonded for in 2013. The district passed a $55 million bond for the projects.
