Logan High Crimson Field and Track is scheduled to have concrete poured this week.

LOGAN—As work continues on the Logan High Crimson Field and track, some residents might be affected by concrete trucks and stadium lights for the remainder of the week.

In an email to Logan City School District parents, LCSD Director of Communications and Public Relations Shana Longhurst informed concrete trucks would arrive to pour concrete between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. due to the amount of concrete needed for the project.

“Due to the large amounts of concrete needed for this project, the contractors will need to begin quite early in the day,” Longhurst said. “The stadium lights will need to be on for them to begin work.”

With early morning work continuing on the summer-long project, the email was sent to notify residents who live near LHS about possible disturbances.

“We wanted to make our community aware of this unique circumstance in the event that you live close to Logan High where noise and lights might be a factor at your home,” Longhurst said.

Due to the work being done on the track, LHS Grizzlies’ opening home game against Viewmont will take place at the Green Canyon High School field on Friday, Aug. 12.

“We thank everyone for their continued patience and we look forward to seeing our student athletes filling this stadium soon,” Longhurst said.
