July 18, 2012 – September 1, 2023 (age 11)

Denali SueAne Blaine was born in Brigham City, Utah to parents Jennifer and Nathan Blaine. Denali is the 5th child of Jennifer and Nathan and completed the family. Her siblings are Emily (Blaine) Leavitt, Benjamin, Deven, and Bronco. Denali has known the beautiful small town of Mantua, Utah as home her entire life. Her family moved to Mantua in 2007.

Denali was 11 years old and a smiling, happy, energetic ray of sunshine everywhere she went. Her beautiful, long, curly red hair was as lit up and bouncy as her personality. Her bright blue eyes were full of wonder and she loved to learn. When Denali was younger, she often hid behind her mother in social situations and was very shy. She loved the movie Frozen and dressed up as Elsa often. She loved to play dress up and dance around with her friends. She had many stuffed animals and each had their own name. If asked she would tell you each one’s name and story about where she got them from. She enjoyed hiking, jumping on the trampoline, swinging, the color pink and sparkles, rainbows, penguins, playing with family, playing with friends, talking, and her dog Peaches. She loved animals and petitioned for a few years to get one before she was able to get Peaches. She adored Peaches and was often found carrying Peaches around like a baby.

Denali attended school at the Promontory School of Expeditionary Learning where her mother Jennifer was the Director. She had many friends and loved spending time with them. She took joy in acting crazy with her friends and family. She recently found a new love in tennis. She has been involved with aerial silks for the past two years where she could spin, swing and be daring. She loved performing.

Her brothers will miss her saying hi each and every time they walked into a room. She loved to share her beautiful smile. She is a light to her family.

She also loved to tease boys, especially her brothers. She adored her older sister Emily and followed her around every chance she could. Her favorite nickname was Noodles which her brother-in-law Zach gave her.

Each night Denali looked forward to watching shows and snuggling with Mom prior to scriptures and prayers with the family. Denali would not go to sleep until she had been sung to and tucked into bed, usually by her father.

Denali’s life plan met an unanticipated major shift on Friday, September 1, 2023 in a tragic head-on collision with a semi-truck. She was killed on impact along with her mother, sister and brother-in-law. At this moment her work in this life was complete.

The family would like to thank all those who have shown such love and compassion during this time of grief and also thank those who were on the scene of the tragic accident for all of their help.

Denali (age 11) is survived by her father Nathan Blaine and her brothers, Benjamin, Deven, and Bronco.

She is preceded in death by her beautiful mother Jennifer, her sister Emily and their beloved family dog Peaches.
