David Cyril Call, 73, passed away at Ogden Regional Hospital, April 15, 2022, of complications after heart surgery. He was born January 2, 1949, in Colonia Dublan, Chihuahua, Mexico. The youngest of 13 children of Charles Helaman Call and Hannah Skousen Call. He married Dorothy Ann Gray November 5, 1971 in the Salt Lake Temple and they recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

He was raised in the Mormon Colonies in Mexico where he was educated and graduated from the Juarez Stake Academy. He was a longtime resident of Willard where He and Dorothy raised their family. He worked as a Farmer where He and Dorothy owned and operated Grays Orchard. He was also a Bus Driver for Box Elder School District for over 43 years.

Dave loved teasing people and playing softball, basketball and volleyball. He loved to travel and visited Mexico many times. He was as tough as nails and soft as a teddy bear. He was a kind and gentle soul. He served on the Willard City Council in the early 80s. He coached youth baseball for over 12 years. “GO FIREBALLS”!

He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a Young Men’s Leader, was involved in Scouts and served on the High Council. He was also the Bishop of the Willard 1st Ward.

He is survived by his wife: Dorothy; children: Corby Call (Rose), Jessica Call Taylor (John), Garrick Call (Jenny), Denton Call (Kaitlyn), Kelsie Call Douglas (Chris) And his loving 14 Grandchildren. He is also survived by Siblings: Dean Call (Barbara), Josephine Hunnicut, Carl Call (Jean), Anson Call (Dee), Dora Bingham (Ray) and Ernest Call (Marti).

He was preceded in death by his Parents and Siblings: Harvey Call, Hannah Fanning, Waldo Call, Mac Call, Dan Call and Bobby Dee Call.

The family would like to express appreciation to the Doctors, Nurses, and Staff at Ogden Regional Hospital for the care given to Dave.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 11:00a.m. at the Hargis Hill Ward, 80 North 100 West, Willard, UT.

Viewings will be held Friday, April 22, 2022 from 6pm-8pm at Myers Mortuary 205 South 100 East, Brigham City and Saturday morning 9:30am-10:30am at the Church prior to services.

Interment will follow in the Willard Cemetery.
