Daughtry will perform at Cherry Peak, Aug. 2.

RICHMOND — Officials with Cherry Peak announced the resort will welcome Daughtry for a concert Aug. 2. The Grammy-nominated rockers will perform as part of the summer concert series.

Marketing and operations director Dustin Hansen said this will be the biggest show Cache Valley has ever seen. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday at 10 a.m., but a presale for Daughtry’s Patreon supporters begins Tuesday at 10 a.m.

August’s concert will mark the first time Daughtry has played in Cache Valley, bringing northern Utah the band’s recognizable music that’s fueled 9 million album sales and 16 million single sales worldwide. The band formed and fronted by lead-singer Chris Daughtry, was a finalist on the fifth season of American Idol.

Daughtry’s first album topped the charts in 2007 and became the fastest-selling rock debut in Soundscan history. Since then, he’s layered on the hits:

  • Home
  • Over You
  • No Surprise
  • Waiting for Superman
  • Crawling Back to You
  • What About Now
  • It’s Not Over
  • Feels Like Tonight

Hansen explained, “There aren’t many bands with more recognizable hits from the past 15 years.”

Daughtry shows routinely sell out around the globe. Their distinctive vibrato and recognizable riffs will keep attendees grinning all night long.

Black Stone Cherry, an anthemic top-10 hard rock band tinged with southern flare will support Daughtry as openers.

Daughtry offers a VIP backstage meet-and-greet for superfans, giving those who purchase the package signed swag and other perks.
