LOGAN – City officials have reopened the stretch of 600 West Street between 1400 North and 1800 North to through traffic.
But they are warning motorists that the intersection at 600 West and 1800 North will remain a four-way stop until the nearby railway crossing on 1800 North is widened and traffic signals are installed.
Logan officials had originally announced that the section of 600 West between 1400 North and 1800 North would be closed for about four weeks starting in August of 2022.
Although work on the northbound lane of 600 West began at that time, it was interrupted so that higher priority work on the 1400 North could be completed.
Despite the rough road that resulted, 600 West between 1400 North and 1800 North remained open until recently.
On Aug. 10, city road crew resumed work on 600 West that has now been completed in near record time.
