CACHE COUNTY – It may seem premature to already be thinking about the 2026 General Sessions of the Utah Legislature, but Rep. Casey Snider (R-Paradise) doesn’t think so.
“Before we head into the next legislative session,” says Snider, who is now the Republican majority leader of the Utah House, “I’ll be hosting a series of town halls in the hopes of being available for any questions or concerns that folks in Cache County may have.”
Those town halls are scheduled to take place throughout Cache County in the two-week period immediately leading up to the 2026 legislative session that begins in mid-January.
The first of those gatherings will be from 6 to 7 p.m. on Jan. 3 in the Paradise City Offices at 9035 South, 100 West in Paradise.
Snider’s next town hall will be in Nibley, from 6 to 7 p.m. on Jan. 4, in the Nibley City Offices at 455 West, 3200 South.
The town hall tour will continue on Jan. 5, when Snider will be available from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Hyrum Civic Center at 83 West Main Street in Hyrum.
On Jan. 6, the Snider road show will move to Wellsville, where a town hall will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Wellsville City Offices at 75 East Main Street.
The town hall meeting in Providence will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. on Jan. 7 in the Providence City Offices at 164 North Gateway Drive.
Following a break for the weekend, the local town hall gatherings will move to Millville, where Snider will be available from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Millville City Offices at 510 East, 300 South.
On Jan. 13, an informational meeting will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. in the River Heights City Offices at 520 South, 500 East.
The final town hall of Snider’s listening tour will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Mendon Station at 95 North Main Street.
As a Cache Valley farmer, public lands advocate and volunteer firefighter, Snider is one of the youngest Utah lawmakers to ever serve as GOP majority leader. First elected in 2016, he has served in seven legislative sessions.
He describes the role of majority leader as service-oriented.
“In my mind,’ Snider says, “the majority leader is very much a servant-style leadership. So being in a position where you can help amazing people do amazing things is a pretty awesome opportunity.
“My most important job is listening to you,” he says to Cache County residents. “I hope to see you and talk to you about your concerns at one of my upcoming town hall meetings.”
