LOGAN — With mid-term elections just a few months away, there are many opportunities to meet with local candidates, according to Cache G.O.P. party chair Shellie Giddings.

On KVNU’s For the People program on Monday, Giddings said there will be a notable presence at the upcoming Cache County Fair this week.

“This year we sent the information to all of our elected officials on every level, and…most of our county reps will be there – Mike Petersen and Casey Snyder, they’re going to be there. Representative Dan Johnson, I love Representative Johnson, he is so supportive, I think he has signed up to be there every day,” Giddings explained.

She said that, also, three county council candidates will be there – Kathryn Beus, Mark Hurd and Sandy Goodlander. Also there will be county clerk Jess Bradfield and county treasurer Craig McAllister.

“Senator Chris Wilson, he’s going to be there as well, I’ve heard from our state auditor John Dougall.  His schedule’s pretty tight, but he is going to try and make it on Wednesday.”

Giddings said volunteers for their booth at the fair are always welcome. You can show up and volunteer, she said most shifts are 1 to 2 hours, also there is a volunteer form at Cache G.O.P.com

In addition to the county fair there will be an event later this month in Richmond.

“We do have another event coming up on August 25th, it’s going to be fantastic, it’s going to be at Lowers (Foods), they are hosting it for us. It’s a Thursday, and it’s going to basically be a Meet ‘n Greet for Dan Johnson; Representative Blake Moore will be there as well.”

Giddings said Lowers always puts on a great event.

They will have more information to come on the Cache G.O.P. Facebook page.
