CACHE COUNTY – With mail-in ballots in the upcoming county primary election now in the hands of registered voters, the Cache County Clerk’s office has reemphasized the locations of ballot drop boxes scattered throughout Cache County.
Returned ballots must in the possession of the Cache County Clerk’s office by 8 p.m. on Primary Election Day (Tuesday, June 23) in order to be counted. That applies both to ballots returned via the U.S. Postal Service – which County Clerk Bryson Behm suggests be posted not later than Tuesday, June 16 to be on the safe side – and those returned via drop boxes throughout the county.
Official primary drop box are now conveniently located in 17 local communities across Cache County. Those municipalities are Amalga, Clarkston, Cornish, Hyde Park, Hyrum, Lewiston, Logan, Mendon, Millville, Newton, Nibley, North Logan, Paradise, Providence, Richmond, Smithfield and Wellsville.
In Amalga, the drop box location is at Amalga Town Hall at 6590 North, 2400 West.
In Clarkston, the convenient drop box location is at 24 South Main Street in the Town Hall.
The drop box location in Cornish is at 4788 West, 14300 North in the Town Hall.
The drop box location in Hyde Park is at 113 East Center Street in City Hall.
In Hyrum, the drop box location is at City Hall at 60 West Main Street.
The drop box location in Lewiston is at City Hall at 29 South Main Street.
In Logan, the drop box locations are in the parking lot of the Cache County Administration Building at 179 North Main Street; at the County Clerk’s Office inside the admin building; and on the campus of Utah State University at 890 North, 900 East.
Ballots can be deposited in the drop box in Mendon at 15 North Main Street at City Hall.
The drop box location in Millville is in the Post Office at 70 West, 200 North.
In Newton, the drop box location is in the Town Hall at 51 South Center Street.
The drop box location in Nibley is in the City Offices at 455 West, 3200 South.
In North Logan, the drop box location is in the City Library at 475 East, 2500 North.
In Paradise, the drop box is located at 190 West, 9000 South in the Town hall.
The drop box location in Providence is in City Hall at 164 Gateway Drive.
In Richmond, ballots can be returned by depositing them in the drop box at the City Hall at 90 South, 100 West.
The drop box location in Smithfield is at City Hall at 96 Main Street.
In Trenton, the drop box is located at 17 East Main Street.
In Wellsville, the drop box location is at the City Offices at 75 East Main Street.
Behm adds that registered voters who do not receive a mail-in ballot by Monday, June 8 should contact his office at 435-755-1460.
The last day to register to vote in the regular primary election and automatically receive a mail-in ballot is Friday, June 12.
That’s also the deadline for voters to register to be able to cast ballots at early voting locations without requesting a provisional ballot.
Local residents can register to vote either in-person at the Cache County Administrative Building or online at www.vote.utah.gov
In-person early voting will be available to county residents from noon to 6 p.m. during the period from Monday, June 15 to Thursday, June 18 at the Cache County Administrative Building.
The County Clerk’s Office is located in the Cache County Administration Building at 179 North Main Street in Logan.
