BOX ELDER COUNTY — The Box Elder County Sheriff’s Department has released another update on their continued search for Dylan Rounds.

Rounds vanished from his farm in Lucin in late May and the search for answers about what happened to him has received international attention.

His family reported him missing on May 30 after he told them by phone that he was “putting the grain truck in a shelter.”

Rounds is described as being 5-foot-10 and 160 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing jeans, a dark shirt and a flannel jacket.

The sheriff’s office said there are no organized searches planned, and they are asking the public not to search the area.

They said searching the area has the potential to “compromise the investigation.”

Deputies previously reporte Rounds’ cellphone and wallet have not been found, while none of the vehicles on the farm were taken. Family members said a pair of boots, located roughly 100 yards from where his grain truck was parked, were determined to be his.

The sheriff’s office also released a statement from the Rounds family who echo the request for the public to let law enforcement conduct their search in peace.

The statement said, “As a family, we are not asking for, or requesting any additional public searches for Dylan Rounds at this time. We request that everyone allow law enforcement to continue their organized investigation without any hindrance or interference, in order to avoid jeopardizing the investigation. We thank everyone for their continued support in finding Dylan Rounds.”
